Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been playing around in the studio and catching up on "Lost" before the next season begins. But now I need to get to work and finishing Christmas gifts. There's not a lot to do, but I know if I don't start this weekend I'll never get it done in time.

Oh Dear!

It's been awhile hasn't it? Between the in-laws' two week visit, work, and the weather being fantastic, this blog has fallen to the wayside. It really doesn't matter, with all the things going I haven't had much time for beads.

here is a picture of the clematis blooming in the back garden. These blossoms are so strange and beautiful. I hope I get more than two flowers on it this year.

Today is my birthday. So far it has gone exactly how I wanted it to. Slept in late, long bike ride with J.P. and Jackson, felafel and strawberry shot cake for dinner.

I did get some lovely gifts from friends and family. A great summer dress and gift certificate from my mum, the Wii from J.P., and this gorgeous bag from Jennifer.

Spring and my sinuses

We've had a nice stretch of gorgeous spring days and I am loving the warmer weather and all the blooming going on. However, my sinuses hate it. I have been sneezing, blowing my nose and netti potting my face for a week now. It makes it hard to really enjoy the spring when your eye are so itchy and watery that every thing is a blur. Okay, I'm done bitching.

Here is a picture of a double trillium I came across a year or so ago on a walk. If your not familiar with trilliums, they generally only have three pettals. So this was a rare find. I went back to the spot I found this the next year but I did not find it. So glad the picture turned out good and that I have a memento of this strange beauty.
